Three Yanks Claim European Titles

*Whitbread to move on from Millwall?

*Onyewu's Standard Liege repeats as Belgian champion
It is fantastic to not only have Americans playing on quality squads in Europe, but it is another thing to have them win titles. Now, I know that the Scottish league and Belgian leagues are not exactly the cream of the crop but they are trophies in Europe. I am proud of our boys and hope that they move on to bigger and better things. Let's enjoy this and think about where the United States was twenty years ago (aka Harkes was one of our best exports). Congrats to Edu, Beas, and Onyewu! A brief recap from US Soccer. Enjoy the highlights and celebrations!

Gooch called a 'Dirty Ape' by Anderlecht Player

Read about the story at No Short Corners or here.
There is just no place in football for this. I hope there is an investigation and he gets a huge ban. Click the image for an interview with Gooch in French.
This isn't their first run in. Apparently Van Damme is not only a dirty racist but has bad breath. Check out this video which I have posted up here before.

Davies Suspended 5 Matches

Just as I finished posting the full highlights from last game, I read that Davies will receive a 5 game ban for this elbow. Some might think 5 games is harsh, but behavior like that has absolutely no place in football. He has got to be smarter since this definitely will ruin the top form that he is in.

What do you think? Too harsh of a ban?
