Didn't see that one coming
Well, that sucks. It was our B-/C squad who fought well for 60 minutes or so. The penalty call was absolute crap and that just turned the game. The US looked tired and outmatched. To be fair, the Mexicans were the better team on the day. I know this is a video highlights site, but if you really want to relive that thrashing then go to a Mexican fan site. I will have a post later to make us all feel better. Remember though, this game really didn't mean much. Eyes on the prize - August 12th at Azteca.

Goal.com - Is the Gooch move a good one?
This is an important question to ask not just for Gooch but for a lot of Yanks who are rumored to play at different clubs. If these players are going to make the move, they MUST play. It is quite a risk. We don't want players sitting on the bench a year before the cup. Think about Dempsey when he went to Fulham. He spent a year working his way in to the lineup. He is a better player for it, but is that what we want right before South Africa? We want in form players peaking for the summer. I for one think it's a good move, but its a risk. Let's hope for the best for all of our Yanks.
