They essentially reiterate what I said in the last post. You have to have better possession and hold the ball.

This sucks: A couple of notes from the game

A couple of notes from the game.

1. We had opportunities to win the game (Davies header, Davies incorrectly called offside), but we didn't deserve to win the game.
2. You can't defend for 87 minutes and expect to win. You must hold the ball. I'm not saying its easy in Azteca, but it must happen.
3. Gooch was man of the match for the US, but was caught ball watching on the Mexican's winning goal. Not saying the goal was his fault though, just pointing it out.
4. Yes, the ref was crap, though this isn't why we lost. Not a disastrous game (see Hugh Dallas or Merck for that), but the missed call on Donovan prior to Mexico's first goal was big.
5. Telemundo's coverage was terrible. Yes, we get that you can do super super super slow motion, but show the bloody game. Very disappointed.
6. This just means that the qualification process becomes much tougher.
7. I don't want to face my Mexican coworkers tomorrow.
8. This sucks. I hate losing.
